2021 Results

The ten participants this year were selected based on results over the last year in the virtual contests that were held throughout North America. Their biographical details on each of the players can be found on the George Sherriff Invitational website here.

Big thank you to this year's adjudicators:

Richard Parkes M.B.E. (PM of Field Marshal Montgomery) and Chris Armstrong (PM of Scottish Power) who adjudicated the 6/8 March event and the March, Strathspey & Reel event and, double Gold Medallists Bruce Gandy and John Wilson who adjudicated the Piobaireachd event.

A huge thank you to Sharon Duthart who handled the logistics of collecting the recordings from the players and organizing all the details needed by the adjudicators. A massive job and handled brilliantly.

Now, on to the results and prizes. Medals were awarded for the 5 placings in each of the events. The overall championship is determined using a 5 points for a first place, through to 1 point for a fifth place. In case of a tie, the piobaireachd placing takes preference.

The highlighted name of the tune(s) is a link that will take you to a YouTube recording of their preformance.
